Motown Songwriter/Producer/Arranger - Clay Drayton

'Mad Men': Diana Ross' 'Love Hangover' Scores New Teaser

I am honored to have worked as the Music Arranger of the Motown Classic "Love Hangover" It has been chosen as the music for the teaser of the new season of Mad Men.

Clay was a staff songwriter at Motown Records/Jobete Publishing for 7 years. While at Motown he worked closely with Producer Hal Davis. Clay wrote, arranged, produced and played on songs for Diana Ross, The Supremes, the Jackson 5, Jermaine Jackson, Janet Jackson, David Ruffin, Ta Ta Vega, G.C. Cameron, High Energy, Bette Midler, Billy Davis Jr. and others. He has earned gold & platinum records to his credits. Clay’s song “The Life of the Party” is included on the CD entitled “Michael Jackson’s 50 Best Songs.”.

EVERYONE WHO TAKES MY COURSE HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUBMIT THEIR SONGS FOR PROJECTS ...

I just got a request for Contemporary, new, radio ready R & B – any moods and tempos for various scenes.  Male or Female vocals with corresponding instrumentals.  Please do not send instrumental tracks that aren’t accompanied by a vocal version.

They are not looking for club music.  These songs are needed for scenes where people are hanging out at home, with friends or chatting and having introspective moments.  They can be fun, just NO thumping club music.

I must have all submissions NO LATER THAN 3pm PT on Thursday, March 5 (6pm ET).  This is a hard deadline.  Anything received after the deadline will not make this pitch.

Upload WAV or AIFF ONLY with full tracks and instrumentals.
